France Excited Over Upcoming Obama Family Visit

The Obamas are heading to the City of Lights this weekend for a little family time.

The First Family will spend the weekend in Paris, France — the first trip to the French capitol for the Obama daughters — Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.

According to European media reports, the family visit is the most eagerly anticipated trip since President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy hit the cosmopolitan city in 1961, for an official visit, according to Britain’s Telegraph newspaper.

The Obamas are expected to take in the views of one of the most romantic European cities by dining at the top of the Eiffel Tower, at the Jules Verne restaurant, the paper reported.

The Obamas trip is not just a brief family summer vacation. Saturday marks the 65th anniversary of the Allies D-Day invasion in France.
