‘Friday Night Lights’ Star Adrianne Palicki Lands ‘Wonder Woman’ Role

Former “Friday Night Lights” star Adrianne Palicki has been cast in David E. Kelley’s “Wonder Woman” pilot for NBC, a rep for NBC confirmed to Access Hollywood.

According to Deadline, who first reported the news, Adrianne – who also starred on FOX’s short-lived “Lone Star” this past fall – was the only actress invited to test for the coveted role.

TV’s original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, Tweeted about the news on Wednesday, writing, “Congratulations Adrianne!”

The crime-fighting reboot will reportedly be set in modern day Los Angeles where Adrianne will play three roles on the series – the crime fighter, alter ego billionaire business woman Diana Themyscira and her assistant, Diana Prince.
