Gaga’s Egg-Cellent Grammy Arrival!

Meat dresses are so 2010. It’s all about the egg for Lady Gaga in 2011!

The innovative pop star arrived at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles incased in a giant egg carried by four strapping men, two in latex short shorts and two in latex dresses. The egg-cellent arrival also included a woman also in latex dress with Lucite heels.

Laurieann Gibson, Gaga’s choreographer and creative director, spoke with E!‘s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.

“She is incubating until her performance,” Laurieann told Ryan. “She’s incubating , so she’s been in there for a serious amount of time, so we can’t let you know what it’s made of… What’s gonna happen tonight is she is gonna shift the world. And so this incubating process is not only necessary, but (it’s about) how dedicated she is to her performance.”

Laurienne added that the Lady was indeed able to breathe and that she was in there with only her Blackberry.

One of the models accompanying the singer told Ryan, “Lady Gaga is in a creative embryonic stage and won’t be born until her performance this evening.”

Kelly Osbourne, who is co-hosting E!‘s red carpet coverage, pointed out that there appeared to be an oxygen tank inside the egg with the pop star.

The singer, who dropped her new single, “Born This Way,” on Friday, is performing the song tonight.

Earlier on Sunday, a Tweet appeared on her Twitter page, “This is Nicola, Haus of Gaga: Gaga is in incubation. Tonight’s performance is in collaboration with Hussein Chalayan and House of Mugler. X”

Gaga is nominated for six Grammy Awards.
