Game Of Thrones: Lena Headey On Season 4: ‘The Stakes Are Higher Than Ever’

“Game of Thrones’” King’s Landing residents were very tight-lipped when it came to teasing the upcoming fourth season of the HBO show, but they offered a few little nuggets on Sunday night.

“I’m just gonna say the stakes are higher than they ever have been,” Lena Headey told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman at the HBO post-Emmys bash on Sunday night. “It’s just getting better and better.”

Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, said his on-screen relationship with Sansa Stark will continue (even if Shae, his secret mistress, isn’t exactly pleased).

“It’s respectful,” Peter said of the arranged marriage his TV father, Tywin Lannister, sprung on him in Season 3 with the Stark noble lady. “It’s not filled with passion.”

Peter, who returns to Belfast later this week to continue shooting the new season, said he’s been enjoying working with Sophie Turner, 17, who plays his TV bride.

“The opportunity to work with Sophie Turner who plays Sansa, I’m working with her a great deal and I love every minute of that,” he said. “She’s incredible.”

In related “Game of Thrones” news, fans are getting excited about the latest themed product from the show. HBO and Brewery Ommegang just dropped their newest “GOT” themed beer – Take the Black Stout. The newest installment in the series follows the Iron Throne Ale, which was a quick sell out when it initially premiered earlier this year. Those looking to score the latest installment can check out the cross country roll out dates at www.ommegang.com.
