Game Of Thrones’ Liam Cunningham: Episode 9 ‘Will Blow The Top Of Your Head Off’

As Davos Seaworth in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” actor Liam Cunningham has been involved in some crazy, jaw-dropping scenes.

He was the sole witness to the cave birth of Stannis and Melisandre’s murderous shadow baby in the middle of Season 2, and in the penultimate episode of that season, was blown off of a boat thanks to green, exploding wildfire in the Battle of Blackwater.

And, he told AccessHollywood.com that this Sunday’s episode of the show should once again be explosive.

“Listen, I’ve been here before, I’ve promised you extraordinary,” he told Access, referring to our Season 2 interviews with the actor where he hinted at the magic that was then ahead. “But what we’ve got coming on in the later episodes [of Season 3], and not to diminish the build-up to this, but I have to say, Episode 9 of this show, will blow the top of your head off.

“Organize medication, organize a doctor, organize psychiatric help and a small holiday,” he added, laughing.

(As a sidenote, for those planning their “GOT” end-of-season watching parties, the official “Game of Thrones” beer — the one that quickly disappeared from stores at the start of the season — is back. Brewery Ommegang confirmed to AccessHollywood.com on Friday that a small batch of Iron Throne Blonde Ale was sent out to some stores this week.)

The Irish actor said just reading the script pages while filming Season 3 provided him with some eye-popping moments.

“The only thing I can say for the fans out there, having not seen quite a bit of this — yet — when we got further on in this series, I am not kidding you, I was opening up these pages — again, as I remind you, I haven’t read the books — and I’m going, ‘OMG!’ I’m pulling my chin up… ‘You’ve got to.. What? You’ve got to be…’” he recounted of his thoughts. “It’s extraordinary what’s going to happen.”

“Game of Thrones” returns on Sunday night at 9 PM on HBO.
