‘Game Of Thrones’: New Season 4 Trailer Debuts

A fiery and thrilling new trailer for “Game of Thrones” Season 4 has been unleashed, featuring the women of Westeros and beyond.

The trailer starts out with a still-grieving Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and moves on to show Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) appearing to get some advice from a newcomer to the series – Ser Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal).

“What good is power if you cannot protect the ones you love,” Cersei says to him.

“We can avenge them,” he replies.

And when Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glenn) reminds Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) that she is a Targaryen and the mother of dragons, looking away she says, “I need to be more than that.”

Wildling Ygritte (Rose Leslie) seems to be getting called out for her actions in Season 3 in the new trailer.

“If that boy’s still walking, it’s because you let him go,” Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) tells her, no doubt referring to Jon Snow.

The tease also seems to hint that there are big things ahead for Jon (Kit Harington), who is discovering that quite a bit happened while he was beyond The Wall.

“All that time I was gone, the world’s fallen apart,” he says in the clip.

Elsewhere, Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) remains committed to fighting for the crown, telling Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), “I will not become a page in someone else’s history book.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 4 premieres April 6 at 9 PM on HBO.
