General Hospital: Hot Doctor Exiting Soap

One of daytime’s hottest docs is preparing to leave “General Hospital.”

On Wednesday night, Scott Reeves, who plays Dr. Steven Webber, revealed he will exit the show next year.

“Hey guys, u know how much u mean 2 me and I wanted u 2 hear it from me. I was let go from GH today and my last day should b in Feb sometime,” he wrote on Twitter.

Lisa LoCicero, who plays Steven’s recently psychic girlfriend, Olivia Falconeri, shared her sadness over the news on Twitter.

“I’ll never worry for you.. But I miss you already,” she wrote.

In related news, ABC revealed on Wednesday that Meredith Vieira will return to “General Hospital” on Friday, December 14, as Bree Flanders, a former madam.

“I actually resurrected a character, Bree Flanders, that I played ten years ago. At that point she was a madam,” Meredith said in a statement. “Now she’s a Senior Vice President of a company, so she’s definitely improved her lot in life. It strikes me every time I do anything with a soap opera – but just working with ‘General Hospital’ — so impressed with the actors, they’re so good. They have to learn so much material on a day-to-day basis. You know, ten years ago I had a better memory than now, so I was a little intimidated, but it worked out great.”
