George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin appear to be getting close to their big day!
The actor, 53, and the activist/lawyer 36, have obtained their marriage license, People reported.
The couple got their license in London, where the Amal is based. A public notice was posted outside Chelsea Old Town Hall (which is required for U.K. citizens) announcing their plan to marry. The location of the wedding was reportedly listed as taking place in Italy, where the actor has a home.
In an interview last month, the actor was asked about his upcoming nuptials.
"I'm marrying up," the Oscar winner told Variety at the time
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, news of George and Amal's engagement broke in late April.
This will be George's second marriage – he was previously married to "Mad Men" actress Talia Balsam from 1989 – 1993.
