George Clooney Fundraiser Expected To Raise Record $12 Million For Obama Campaign

George Clooney is reportedly pulling out some serious star power (and cash) to help President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a May 10 dinner at Clooney’s Studio City, Calif., home with Obama has sold out.

A slew of Hollywood stars and executives (140 total) paid $40,000 each to attend the dinner with the actor and the president.

The campaign has also been collecting donations to win a seat at Obama and Clooney’s table at the event, which could reportedly fetch up to another $6 million in donations.

The money raised for tickets to the star-studded dinner and the contest would reportedly total $12 million, making it the biggest presidential fundraiser in the country’s history.

Obama will continue to woo Hollywood, when he returns to LA on June 6 for an LGBT gala where Pink is expected to perform.
