Oscar winner Sandra Bullock called out George Clooney when she accepted the award for Best Actress on Sunday, saying the actor threw her into a pool in 2000 at Joel Schumacher’s birthday – and George is looking over his shoulder waiting for payback.
“George Clooney threw me in a pool years ago,” “The Blind Side” star said on the Kodak Theatre stage during the Oscars. “I’m still holding a grudge.”
On Tuesday, George told Access Hollywood that he steers clear of pools when Sandra is around.
“Sandy and I have been friends for 25 years… and I do stay away from pools when she walks by,” the actor said in a statement to Access on Tuesday morning.
As for George’s scowl when Oscar hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin took a few jabs at him during the show’s opening monologue – a source close to the “Up In The Air” star told Access it was all planned and that he was in on the joke.
