George Lopez Explains Public Intoxication Arrest

George Lopez was arrested for public intoxication on Thursday night after passing out in a casino in Canada.

On Friday, the comedian issued a statement explaining the incident.

“Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning,” he said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.”

Lopez, 52, had performed at the casino earlier in the evening.

He is set to star in FX’s new show, “Saint George.”
