George Lopez: Kirstie Alley Pig Comment Was ‘Bad Form’; Asks Actress To Appear On ‘Lopez Tonight’

The war of words between Kirstie Alley and George Lopez continues, but the comedian has extended an olive branch and an invitation to appear on his late night show to the actress he compared to a pig earlier this week.

”[It was] poor judgment. As they say in my world of golf, ‘bad form on my part,’” George told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush for “The Billy Bush Show” on Friday morning.

In fact, the comedian wants a face-to-face meeting with the “Dancing with the Stars” contestant.

“I’ve apologized. I think she’s accepted my (?) apology, I wish that she had and that she would be guest on ‘Lopez Tonight,’” the comedian continued. “I would love to have her on.

“Listen, she has a lot of fans and when you make a joke of that type, um, it never goes over well,” he continued.

“You’re formerly a heavy guy yourself. Weren’t you a… plus-size comic?” Billy asked.

“I blame my Spanx for cutting off my circulation to my brain, and that’s all I’ll say about that,” George added.

Following the comedian’s initial apology on Twitter, Kirstie came out blazing with a response Tweet aimed right at the comedian’s kidney.

“I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie,” George Tweeted Thursday evening.

She responded with, “I don’t need or want ur apology…I want your kidney dude..on behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted…give it back,” referring to George’s then-wife, Ann, donating one of her kidneys to him in 2005.

The actress addressed his apology further in a later Tweet on Friday.

“I don’t consider ‘I misjudged the joke’ an apology. sorta like a husband saying ‘I misjudged putting my d*** in a wh***’ …sorry hon..hehe,” Kirstie wrote.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, George mocked the star’s “Dancing” debut earlier this week, saying, “She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away…before the show, she went to the market, and then she had roast beef and this is her going all the way home.”
