George Michael Ready To Tour Again

MANCHESTER, England (November 20, 2006) — George Michael says he has the courage to tour again.

Michael performed his first British concert in 15 years, with a show in Manchester on Friday.

Michael says he’s enjoyed touring so much he wishes he had started touring years ago.

He’d even be happy to just perform live, rather than make CD’s. He says in terms of releasing CD’s and trying to get on the radio, “that’s all finished.”

He says the music industry is struggling but “the live thing is as it always was.” He says with a big grin, “If you can do it, it’s a very profitable thing.”

What about his recent troubles, like getting arrested for pot possession and being found slumped behind the wheel of his car? Michael admits, “Most of the stuff that happens to me is partially my fault.”
