Ghosts, Mutant Babies Set To Cause Trouble On ‘True Blood’; Alexander Skarsgard Talks Eric’s Season 4 Big Changes

It looks like Godric won’t be the only ghost heading to Bon Temps in Season 4 of “True Blood” — a hauntingly tough time is in store for fans of the show’s favorite still-going vampire/human couple Jessica and Hoyt.

According to Jim Parrack, who plays baby vamp Jessica’s boyfriend Hoyt, spirits are set to cause trouble for the newly domesticated pair.

“Could be, yeah. Could be,” Jim said when Access Hollywood asked about ghostly creatures joining the fray on the red carpet at PalyeFest2011. “Something’s up with the house.”

Alan Ball, creator of the HBO series, inspired by Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse novels, also confirmed ghosts were on their way.

“Ghosts, witches,” he said of new creatures on their way to the pulpy drama. “Everything else we’ve already met, but there will be new werewolves, new shifters, new vampires. Yeah, ghosts and witches are the new ones, mostly.”

It appears Arlene Fowler’s half-human, half otherworldly creature baby will also create havoc.

“Yes, there’s gonna be a problem that grows exponentially,” Arlene’s portrayer, Carrie Preston, told Access. “It’s not gonna be what you think. So Arlene is definitely dealing with having to face something that’s a little bit bigger than what’s she’s used to.”

While much has been made about the witches being introduced in Season 4, one of the big plot lines will follow Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric Northman, who loses his memory.

“I don’t think it’s a secret that he gets amnesia this season,” Alexander told Access. “A witch casts a spell and he doesn’t know who he is.

“I don’t want to reveal too much, but he’s kind of like a very big baby suddenly, he doesn’t know who he is and he needs protection suddenly and you haven’t seen that before,” the tall Swede added.

The first time fans saw Eric in Season 3, he was in a dungeon sans clothing, but despite such racy material, Alexander said he hasn’t yet read a script that was too sexy for his own tastes as an actor.

“No, I haven’t had a moment like that yet, where I go, ‘It’s a little too much,’” he said with a grin. “I kind of dive in head first and I love it all.”

Anna Paquin also said she isn’t worried about the sexy scripts, but her real life husband, Stephen Moyer, who plays Bill Compton, said he’s had an eye-raising moment once or twice.

“There’s a little moment when you do think, ‘My mum, sitting at home, is going to be watching me do a what? What?’” he laughed.
