‘Gilmore Girls’: Melissa McCarthy Confirms She’ll Appear In Netflix Revival

“The Boss” star Melissa McCarthy will return to
Stars Hollow for Netflix’s “Gilmore Girls” revival.

The big screen star made the announcement on Thursday’s
“The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“There has been something that I have been asked about
so, so many times and it hasn’t worked out and… they’re making four new movies of the ‘Gilmore Girls,’ which is a show
which was near and dear to my heart for four years and we could not get those
schedules to work, and there was a whole thing. And then I was gonna be out of
the country and blah, blah, blah, and literally about an hour-and-a-half ago we
figured out that I’m gonna go back and do it and I am so excited,” Melissa
told show host Ellen. “And they’re going to be amazing.”

While she obviously has a busy big screen schedule, Melissa
said she was able to work with the show’s boss to make it work.

“Amy Sherman-Palladino is going to squeeze me in to do it and I’m very happy to go back to Stars Hollow,” Melissa said.
