‘Girls’ Star Allison Williams Marries Ricky Van Veen

Allison Williams is still one of the “Girls,” but now she’s also a married woman!

The actress tied the knot with College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen on Saturday, according to Us Weekly.

The couple reportedly wed at the romantic Brush Creek ranch in Wyoming in front of a star-studded guest list, including Katy Perry, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, Seth Meyers, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and, of course, Allison’s “Girls” co-stars Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet.

The bride, 27, wore a custom-made Oscar de la Renta gown for her walk down the aisle, the mag reported.

Allison and Ricky, 34, announced their engagement in early 2014, but put their wedding plans on hold after Allison’s work commitments and personal life required more attention.

In addition to preparing for the title role in NBC’s “Peter Pan,” Allison also had family matters to consider when her father, former “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams, was suspended from the network in February. The veteran newsman was accused of making false claims about his Iraq War coverage in 2003. He apologized and has since been reassigned to MSNBC, where he makes his debut on Sept. 22.

After the scandal broke, Allison told Seth Meyers during a Q&A at New York City’s 92Y that she and Ricky were very “excited” to get married, but decided to slow things down in the wake of what she called “a very full year.”

“You sort of think, ‘What could possibly come along that would make me not think about this?'” the actress said of her upcoming nuptials.

“Then current events started happening, so that derailed it a little bit, but it has been this really beautiful through line in our lives,” she continued. “It’s just something we haven’t focused on, but, spoiler alert, we are excited!”
