Some style inspiration to get you through another bitterly cold weekend!
I’m dreaming of spring and so is People StyleWatch, which shares some picks for the hottest trends this season.
Shirt Dress:
“This trend comes from classic menswear but with feminine twists,” says Kate Dimmock, fashion director, People StyleWatch. “Look for cinched waists, bold prints and relaxed fabrics. This is a trend that looks great on nearly every body type!”
Crop Tops With Skirts:
The cropped top has been making an appearance since the end of last year. (See Jessica Alba below!) “The update for spring is a cropped top paired with skirts in matching sets so it’s like a dress, but with the midriff bared. It’s a fun trend, and a new take on the dress.”
Florals:
“Florals are bigger and bolder with oversized blooms and loads of color. It’s a perfect fit for a fun spring dress or skirt, to take you into spring.” (See Blake Lively below!)
Perforated Leather:
“This is a soft, yet edgy look for spring. Look for neutral colors and can go for faux or real leather. The tip is to stick to one piece at a time and don’t overdo it”
Other trends we love that are coming back from the ‘80s: chokers — the big statement necklace —and mules!
