As you’ve probably guessed by now, there’s nothing I like more than deals on designer clothes! And it seems designer Charlotte Ronson agrees with me.
Known for her Charlotte Ronson collection (a favorite of Blake Lively, Gisele Bundchen, Jennifer Love Hewitt and of course Lindsay Lohan who dates Charlotte’s sister Sam), she’s recently launched a more affordable collection at JCPenney called I “Heart” Ronson.
“A lot of times you need that fix and you want to just buy something quickly and feel like you’re changing it up. You don’t want to think so much about spending and you don’t want to feel guilty either,” Charlotte says. With the prices ranging from $15 to $65 Charlotte pretty much guarantees you don’t have to feel guilty!
I’m a real girly girl and a native New Yorker so I’ve always admired Ronson’s clothes, which have a feminine sensibility (florals and ruffles) combined with a downtown New York edge. The I “Heart” Ronson collection sticks with that vibe. And there’s something for everyone in the line, which features tops (tees, tanks, blouses, sweaters), jeans, skirts, dresses and jackets.
The tees and tanks are super lightweight and great for layering. I also really like the Swiss Dot Blouse ($30), which comes in a dusty pink and has a cute tie at the collar. The Ruffle Skirt ($30), a floral mini, is great for warm weather, paired with a simple tank. Featuring big pockets and a tie waist, the olive green Army Jacket ($65) is an affordable way to wear this season’s utilitarian trend.
The Spring collection is currently in stores or at www.jcpenney.com while the Summer collection (with added pops of bright yellows and blues!) will begin hitting stores next month.
