Glam Slam: Angelina’s ‘Salt’-y Style

I love this photo of Angelina and the kids landing at Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan.

At first glance she looks like a regular mom trying to keep track of everyone as they walk hand in hand through the airport. She even scolds Maddox when he roughhouses with Pax!!

But then I take a closer look and it’s obvious she is anything but a typical mom. She looks perfectly put together.

Unlike most passengers, who travel in sweats or jeans or comfy clothes to keep warm on chilly planes, she is in a silk dress that could easily work at a red carpet event. Silk wrinkles easily, so it’s not the slightest bit practical, but Angelina’s dress is wrinkle-free. She accessorized it with a chic grey leather Ferragamo bag with gold chain handles. Of course, most of us don’t have to worry about looking perfect for the hordes of photographers and fans greeting us at the airport, but still, the bottom line is she looks flawless. Sigh. Life’s not fair.

Angelina is on a whirlwind, worldwide tour promoting her new thriller ‘Salt’, which did well at the U.S. box office. Last Monday, she dazzled in a sequined black Emporio Armani mini dress. She went with sexy black leather at Comic-con in San Diego on Thursday. On Sunday she paired a classic black pencil skirt with a cream silk camisole by Dolce & Gabbana and nude Ferragamo heels at a photo call in Moscow.

That same night at the Moscow premiere of the film, she looked radiant in eye-popping red. Bright colors are very uncharacteristic of her. As I just pointed out last week, she rarely (if ever!) wears bright colors, so this was a nice change and fitting for the Russian location. She paired the floaty chiffon Atelier Versace gown with red lips and loose natural hair.

At the premiere in Japan, she went back to her signature black wearing a draped Versace gown with cut out back and sexy, sexy slit up to there. I mean, really up to there! More black last night in Seoul, South Korea with a spaghetti strap long gown for a press call and then for the premiere a black short fitted dress. Just another (glamorous) day at work for the busy mom.
