Glam Slam: Best Dressed Of 2009!

As the clock counts down the final day of the year, the Glam Slam team looks back and singles out the best dressed celebrities.

BLAKE LIVELY
Almost a unanimous vote with the Glam Slam squad! She really took the plunge this year… defining and refining what’s become her signature sexy style. I counted no less than five-down to there gowns that give J.Lo’s green Grammy Versace dress a run for its money. Glam Slam contributors Felidette and Sharon agree, saying “she really nailed it with her Va Va Voom red Versace dress at the Emmys.” Akiva loves her “chic, sexy style” and Joe likes her “sexy yet tasteful fashion… she shows off her leggy gams with slits up to there and somehow manages to keep her sandwich in the picnic basket.” Oh Joe!

KATE HUDSON
Always a knockout in my book… this year she upped the sexy quotient. (Hmmm… maybe it has something to do with the super fit sex-pot she plays in ‘Nine,’ or her hot romance with New York Yankees A-Rod.) Glam Slam Joe loves how she exuberantly embraced sequins, minis and plunging necklines… transforming her from bohemian starlet to a modern hot mama. Jeneine says of Kate, “I love that she makes being small-breasted look good.” LOL!

MICHELLE OBAMA
The First Lady knows what works for her shape, mixes high and low, puts new designers on the map and does it all with exquisite style. Her Jason Wu Inaugural Gown left an indelible impression. Classic. Gorgeous. “From her silhouettes, sleeveless sheath and signature accessories she does not follow the norm of what people would think a First Lady “should” wear,” Akiva says.“Her confidence gives her style and that extra push making her a true fashion power house.”

TAYLOR SWIFT
Nearly everyone polled loved Taylor’s age appropriate style. (Unlike peer Miley Cyrus, who got quite a few disses.) Sharon liked that she “chose ensembles that were sophisticated but still young and fun – often opting for sparkles appropriate to her age!”

BEST DRESSED GUY
Brad Pitt. I’m not a fan of the goatee at all. But when it comes to style, Brad is the man. As Susan pointed out, “Tom Ford is his go to designer… the standout was his pale pink Tom Ford suit and purple scarf… real men DO wear pastel.”

BEST DRESSED KID
Thanks to Susan and Joe for not forgetting the kiddies. Actually, it’s a tie… Suri for her impeccable girly style and those controversial kitten heels… Shiloh for her fatigue fashions and gender bending self-expression in the sandbox.
