Glam Slam: Early Oscar Style Talk

“Most little girls dream about their wedding dresses, but I always dreamed about my Oscar dresses,” Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain said laughing, at yesterday’s annual Oscar luncheon. “Maybe because I like color.”

Sounds like no wedding white for Jessica!

I guess we can look for her to wear something bright on the red carpet at the Academy Awards February 24!

It was a big day for Oscar nominees as they gathered at the Beverly Hilton for this annual tradition. Naturally, the talk turned to fashion!

“I’m going to wear sweatpants,” Jennifer Lawrence joked. “Last year was comfort, this year I’m like, ‘Suck it up, wear a corset.’”

Jennifer has wowed in Dior on several red carpets, and we asked her if she plans to go out all with her gown for the big night. “I’ve gone through a few sketches, and they’re all very different, which I like. “Fingers crossed.”

Sounds like she’s ahead of the fashion game. Or at least ahead of fellow nominee Anne Hathaway!

“Yeah, I need to get on that, don’t I? It was the Super Bowl, I couldn’t think about dresses, with all that delicious fried food around!” Anne joked.

As for the youngest nominee in Oscar’s 85-year history, 9-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis wore David Meister to the luncheon just as she has on several occasions recently. She made sure to bring her signature accessory: a puppy-shaped purse! She told us why she loves them so much.

“It’s just like an animal and I have two dogs and I love them and I had them since last year, January, so…..”

Maybe, we’ll see a puppy purse at the Oscars! Cute!
