Glam Slam: Fall Denim Trends

I LIVE in jeans. Wear them almost every single day to work and I’m so happy that there are so many options to try this fall.

Olivia Doyne of Gap offers up fall’s hottest denim trends from the store’s 1969 collection.

COLORED DENIM
Bright and bold pants are a must-have for fall. Stock up on the full spectrum and let your pants make the statement by pairing them with a simple top in a neutral color. The 1969 Legging Jean has amazing stretch and a skinny silhouette so you’ll feel like your wearing a second skin. The look can change completely when paired with sky-high heels, scholarly loafers, or biker boots.

EXOTIC PRINTS
Exotic prints, an evolution of the popular ‘70s and ‘80s rocker trend, are all the rage this fall. (Kate Moss rocks the print look.) Gap chooses to go minimalist and monochromatic with its 1969 Snakeskin Print Legging Jean available in tonal colors. Layer with a chunky knit sweater in a soft color and ankle boots or throw on a leather jacket with a plain tee for an edgier look.

WIDE LEG TROUSER JEAN
The 1969 Trouser Jean transcends trends and its wide leg silhouette balances many different body types. It’s a sophisticated look that any woman can wear. For a sexier take, tuck in your top to show off the rise. Finish with heels or wedges to elongate your silhouette.

STRAIGHT FIT JEAN FOR MEN
The 1969 Straight Fit is the ultimate denim style for the modern man. (See Matt Damon wearing Gap.) The versatile cut makes this silhouette universally flattering and can be worn layered with a slim button up shirt, fitted sweater vest and blazer. For a more casual look, simply roll the bottoms and pair them with your favorite pair of Chucks.
