Of course, we expected Lady Gaga to make a dramatic entrance at the Grammys and she did not disappoint when she turned up in an egg! But she did rob fans and fashionistas of the chance to dissect what would surely be a bold red carpet look – boo! We did get to see plenty of other fashion action and here’s how it all breaks down.
THE GOOD:
Selena Gomez – my favorite look of the night… kept it simple and classy in a liquid metallic J. Mendel.
Jennifer Hudson looked stunning in an asymmetrical navy Versace paired with Christian Louboutin heels.
Jewel – the 5-1/2 months pregnant star glowed in a flowing pale yellow one shouldered Pamella Roland.
Heidi Klum rocked a gold sequined gown by British designer Julien MacDonald.
Jennifer Lopez in a short silver metallic Emilio Pucci, that showed off her gorgeous legs.
Kim Kardashian worked a very low cut bronze Kaufman Franco gown.
Katy Perry may get ripped for her sparkly, ruffled custom Armani accessorized with wings… but I thought it was fun, playful and pure “Katy.”
THE BAD:
Rihanna in a half see through/half ruffled Jean Paul Gaultier, which offered further proof that horizontal stripes are hard to pull off – even if you’re Rihanna.
Nicki Minaj getting wild in head-to-toe leopard Givenchy Haute Couture with Marie Antoinette-worthy tall blonde wig.
Miley Cyrus also went with animal print in a plunging boho tiger print Roberto Cavalli, which showed a little too much side boob.
Christina Aguilera had me worried she was going to pop out of her verrrry tight black embellished gown.
