“Adir is the man. He’s awesome. He cuts my hair, he cuts my friends’ hair.”
That’s Rosario Dawson raving about her mane man, Adir Abergel of LA’s Frederick Fekkai Melrose Place Salon.
With props like that, Adir, who has also worked with Anne Hathaway and Sienna Miller, seemed like the perfect go-to-guy to give us hair tips for our holiday parties.
Here are his suggestions for THREE FAST FIXES to take your style from day to night.
1. “Pull hair into a low ponytail. Braid ponytail and then wrap it around into a low chignon and pin. This is easy and glamorous.”
2. “If your daytime hair style is down and you want to jazz it up a bit, just backcomb the crown to create that great Brigitte Bardot inspired “bump.” Then, take a few bobby pins and pin the top half up and voila- you have a simple, sexy sixties look.”
3. “If you have long hair, pull hair into loose ponytail. Tuck under and secure with a few bobby pins for a fabulous faux bob.” Stars have done this for years to change up their style without a drastic hair cut.
Don’t forget about hair accessories, which are another fast way to glam up your ‘do. Headbands, fancy barrettes and jeweled combs, clips and pins add instant oomph to your style.
