Glam Slam: Holiday Hair!

“The big trends for holiday are deep side parts and pompadour inspired updo’s,” according to Frederic Fekkai Celebrity Stylist Adir Abergel, who has worked his mane magic on Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Rosario Dawson, Kate Beckinsale and Sienna Miller. Heading out to your own holiday bash? You can create your own glamorous look with Adir’s Holiday Hair How To:

KATE BECKINSALE
THE INSPIRATION: “I wanted to create a timeless updo, that still had an edge.”

GET THE LOOK:
“I blow dried the hair with some Fekkai Full Blown Volumizer at the roots to create enough height for the updo. I used a round brush and let it cool down around velcro rollers.

Then, I used a fine-tooth comb to back-comb the top part of the hair to create volume from the hairline to the crown.

I then slicked the sides of hair, using some Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax and pulled it to a tight ponytail just above the ear line, making sure to leave the right amount of volume in front.

To finish the look, twist the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic in a doughnut shape and pin it in place. Spray with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray and enjoy the night.”

SIENNA MILLER
THE INSPIRATION: “I wanted to create a modern day Veronica Lake look that had wonderful movement and softness to the hair with lots of shine and bounce.”

GET THE LOOK:
“I first started out by placing hair in a very strong side part. The way to create a wonderful side part, is by following the arch of the eyebrow (this is a wonderful trick).

To follow, I then applied Fekkai Zero-Humidity Frizz Control from roots to ends, followed by Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel, only at the roots for extra body. I then began to blow dry the hair with a round brush to create the perfect texture.

Once the hair was completely dry, I took a 1 1/4 curling iron and curled hair around the barrel, staying away from the roots and pinning it in place, like a pin-curl. (The reason I stayed away from curling it all the way to the roots is because I wanted the top of the hair to stay smooth with the rest of the hair having the bend.)

After you have curled the hair and pinned it in place, let it cool down for 10 minutes. Take all the pins out and brush the hair.

To finish this look, apply a bit of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax to hands. Rub it in your hands like hand cream and apply to top of head to smooth away all those tiny flyways. Finally, use a little bit of Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray to lock in the style and you’re ready for your own red carpet moment.”
