We all know how cute and stylish Suri Cruise is… no secret there, right? I don’t know how it’s possible, but every time she is photographed, she is dressed more adorably than the last time!
But it was after Suri was photographed last week with an $850 Salvatore Ferragamo purse that I started to covet HER closet! Yes, I do realize she is three-years-old! But a chic designer bag is something a girl of any age can appreciate!
Suri was clutching a mini version of mom Katie Holmes’ $1,750 leather, mercury-colored “Sophia” bag. The two were snapped in Jamaica while getting into their helicopter. Really? Does life get any swankier? (And here’s a practical concern – do you use a regular child car seat in a helicopter?!)
This isn’t the first time Katie and Suri have sported matching looks.
They both donned red dresses from Katie’s own line Holmes-Yang. This reminded me of back in the day, when my mom made matching outfits for the two of us when I was a little girl. She didn’t have her own line, of course, but the outfits she sewed on her trusty Singer, were cute just the same.
But the designer bags, which were gifts from Ferragamo, takes the concept of matching mommy and me style to a whole new stratosphere of chicness.
It certainly makes the closest thing I have to a matchy-matchy mommy and me outfit pale by comparison! My daughter and I both have brown faux fur vests… hers is from Gap Kids and cost $35. My Michael Kors vest cost 100 bucks, which is obviously nowhere near the $2,600 the two purses cost!
Even if you are fortunate enough to have a movie star’s salary or a designer giving you expensive bags for Christmas, in the end it shouldn’t be about price at all.
The memories these little mommy and me moments create are, after all, priceless. And that’s what really matters.
