Glam Slam: Kongrats Kim & Kris!

“It was over-the-top glam, but just so elegant,” Kim Kardashian says of her wedding in the new issue People magazine, which features her on the cover!

Today we get our first real look at photos of Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries in People. I’ve seen the 11-page spread and every detail of the fairy tale wedding is stunning and Kim looks absolutely gorgeous. No shocker there!

We (finally!) really get to see all three of the custom Vera Wang gowns she wore at the wedding, which as you know, took place in posh Montecito, California this past weekend.

The first gown was an ivory ball gown with full tulle skirt and hand pieced Chantilly lace applique on the bodice and train, which she paired with a 65 carat diamond headpiece by Lorraine Schwartz worth a whopping 2.5 million. All in all Kim wore nearly $15 million in diamonds, according to Schwartz.

For the couple’s first dance, Kim changed into her second gown, which was an ivory georgette mermaid gown with hand pieced Chantilly lace applique on the bodice. The skirt had hand cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs.

Kim tells the magazine that “I was going for an Old Hollywood look” of the night’s third gown- an ivory bias-cut crepe back satin gown with V-neck and circle skirt. The bridesmaids also wore custom Vera Wang gowns, which were ivory strapless silk organza mermaid gowns.

Most people wouldn’t have the luxury of having three Vera Wang dresses to choose from…but that definitely seems to be very “Kim.” I love the dress she got married in. It looks elegant and classic. I’m not a fan of the diamonds on her head though. It’s very glamorous and very Hollywood, but I’m just not feeling it. Other than that, well done Kim, well done!

“This was our moment,” Kris told People. “It was beautiful and it was perfect.”

Congrats to the couple!

To check out the wedding spread, the new issue of People is on newsstands Friday.
