Glam Slam: Los Angeles Girl!

I am so honored to reveal that I’ve been included in the new book “My City, My Los Angeles” by Jeryl Brunner. The entire title of the book is “My City, My Los Angeles: Famous People Share Their Favorite Places”. Hahahahahahah! Obviously, I am not famous, but I am super flattered to be included.

Some of the truly famous included are Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Usher and Dustin Hoffman; and the book looks at what “well-known people” love to do with their free time in Los Angeles.

Hugh Jackman and Jane Fonda both love hiking Runyon Canyon. Debi Mazur and La La Anthony reveal their favorite restaurants. As does Tyler Perry, who loves Boa Steakhouse on Sunset and Bonnie Raitt, who picks a healthy food restaurant in the valley named The Sun Café.

If you want to bump into Gene Simmons, head to The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel; where he’s been going for breakfast for the last 35 years. You might see Candy Spelling at Italian restaurant Madeo on Beverly.

Richard Dreyfuss has been going to Pink’s Hot Dogs since he was 12. He loves the spicy Polish dog “because I’m a spicy Polish.” Ha!

Selma Blair has been going to Book Soup on Sunset Boulevard for years. Homeland star Mandy Patinkin loves Beverly Hot Springs to relax and get massages. Twilight Saga star Kellen Lutz reveals one of his favorite things to do is Sunday Night Jazz nights at the W Hollywood.

As for me, I chose Larchmont Village, a small block of mom and pop stores that’s easy to walk around and very, very family and kid friendly. There’s an independent book store called Chevalier’s books, where kids, dogs AND cats are welcome. It’s a local institution that’s been there for years. My daughter could sit in there for hours looking through the kids section. Landis’ Labyrinth is a popular toy store where everyone goes to get birthday presents.

I like that it’s a little bit of small town feeling in a very big, sprawling city.
