CREATE SCULPTED CHEEKBONES
You may not have been born with Kim Kardashian’s cheekbones, but you sure can fake it! Pick a matte (no shimmer) bronzer and blend (don’t leave any stripy streaks) it from your ears outward stopping at the apples of your cheeks. This will really bring out your bone structure. Soften up the look with a bit of rosy blush on the apples of the cheeks and a touch of highlighter at the tops of cheekbones.
AWAKEN EYES
First, make sure your concealer is only a shade lighter than your skin. If you have eye-area issues, a color correct is your best bet – peach lightens dark circles and green helps with redness. Before you apply any makeup, curl your lashes to instantly open them up. Then pick a shadow close to your skin tone and make sure its shimmery – the sparkle reflects the light for a brightening effect.
PERFECT BROWS
Use a brow pencil (don’t go too dark) to make the most of your arches. First brush them with a Spoolie brush (it looks like a mascara wand) and fill sparse areas with light strokes. Blend in the color so your look is natural.
PLUMP UP LIPS
Shade the outer two-thirds of either side of your mouth with a lip pencil just a tad darker than your actual lips, leaving the middle section bare. Then use a nude (pick a shade close to the color of your own lips) sparkly gloss, focusing on the center.
GET GLOWING SKIN
Use luminizing liquid on key areas of the face – cheekbones, brow bones and even the cupid’s bow of the lips. This will create a lit-from-within look – perfect for evening. Just stay away from your forehead and nose. You’ll look more greasy than glowing!
