If your New Year’s style involves a more low-key look, you can elevate it by creating a lit from within complexion. Apply a light foundation or tinted moisturizer, skip the blush and go for a hit of bronzer instead, to create a subtle sun-kissed glow. Finish with a rosy-pink neutral and a shot of lip gloss for sheen.
SULTRY SMOLDER
Want to play up a great pair of eyes? Create a come-hither gaze to ring in the New Year by painting black shadow across your lids and accenting that base with either deep purple, blue or brown to modernize the look. Next, rim eyes with black liner and define lashes with lengthening mascara. Keep the rest of your makeup at a minimum with just a swipe of shimmery gloss and a touch of bronzer on the apples of your cheeks.
CLASSIC GLAM
Nothing screams party like a bold red lip! With a little sparkle on your eyes and a sheer, coppery blush on your cheeks, you can make a big style statement with a solid scarlet shade for your pout. Make the color last by starting with a primer for your lips – this will help prevent the color from bleeding outside your lip line. Next outline and fill in lips with a red lip pencil. Glide on your lipstick and kiss a tissue to blot any excess.
