Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays — The Bobbi Brown Edition

Who doesn’t love makeup maven Bobbi Brown? Not only has she worked with a ton of stars (including Mary-Kate Olsen and Naomi Campbell), she’s also the real woman’s champion making us regular ladies look runway-worthy with her practical makeup advice tips and flattering makeup.

We asked Bobbi to give us tips on how to recreate the makeup of three stars that we thought looked gorgeous. Bobbi delivered…and even sent her signature face charts with all the details to help us achieve the look ourselves at home. Love!

GWYNETH PALTROW
Focus: Soft Champagne Eyes. Make sure that the shimmer on the eye is soft and not chunky or too glittery. A shimmer shadow will glide onto the lid and give it a nice, soft glow. Make sure to line your eye with a black eyeliner starting with a thin line at the inner corner of the eye and gradually getting thicker towards the outside corner of the eye. To add more drama to the look, add black liner to the inner rim of the lower eyelid (a smudgy pencil works well for this). Then, use the same Champagne Eye Shadow on the lower lash line. Finish the look with 2 to 3 coats of your favorite black mascara. Click here for Gwyneth’s Face Chart.

SELENA GOMEZ
Focus: Winged Liner. To create a smoky eye with your favorite grey or gunmetal shadows, start with a light, flat base color all over the lid from lash line to brow bone. Next, apply a dark color on the lower lid and a medium shadow in the crease. This makes the colors easier to blend. Finish the eye with a winged liner in black. A gel liner works well for this technique because you use a small brush (ultra fine liner brush) that can control the product. Line the eyes from the inner most to outermost corner and extend the line slightly beyond the lash line and up. Click here for Selena’s Face Chart.

JADA PINKETT SMITH
Focus: Bronze Glow. Apply a bronze shadow to the lid and blend it up into the crease creating a soft, defused bronzed eye. Then, using a black eye liner, line all around the eyes to add definition. On the cheeks, apply a soft nectar color on the apples for a natural pop of color. Using a large face blending brush, pick up a Bronze Shimmer Brick and with the brush, swirl all the colors together and place on the highest part of the cheekbone to give you a soft glow.
