There was no shortage of style action to take in from Sunday’s Grammy Awards. I’ve been letting it all digest and realized that, surprisingly, there were quite a few wearable looks, especially when it comes to makeup.
Country superstar Miranda Lambert epitomized a natural, healthy glow most of us can relate to and here’s how you can achieve her red carpet look.
WHO: Makeup Artist Terri Apanasewicz
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
Miranda’s red carpet look was reminiscent of old Hollywood, with a modern twist. My inspiration was her gorgeous blue eyes, so I wanted to give her a sultry look to bring to life her navy gown.
HOW TO:
SKIN:
I started by applying COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Classic Tan (855) all over her face and blended down the neck. I used Amazing Cosmetics Concealer & Powderset to brighten under the eyes.
CHEEKS:
To add a little bit of color to her cheeks I chose COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Lush Berry. I finished by adding Tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess to create definition and dimension.
EYES:
For her eyes I wanted to do a modern take on the smoky eye – soft and subtle. I enhanced her brow and arch with DIORSHOW brow styler. I then applied MAC Fluidline Liner in Little Black Bow on the lid with a touch of MAC Dangerous Cuvee paint pot on the inner part of the lid. I then added Lancome Le Crayon Kohl pencil in Black Ebony to the top and bottom line for an extra touch of drama. I finished by enhancing her blue eyes with LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara in Dark Black.
LIPS:
For her lips I wanted to keep it simple, so we used LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Copper Stars.
