Glam Slam: New In November

November is one of my favorite months… it gets a little cooler, the boots and sweaters come out of the closet, pumpkin spice lattes taste yummy and I love to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Here are a few other things I love about the month…

CHEAP CHIC
It’s here! It’s here! Lanvin for H&M hits stores this month- yippee! I’m obsessed with this luxury line and love that it’s getting the affordable treatment from the global chain. Now I can finally afford something from the line’s genius designer Alber Elbaz! The collection includes womenswear and menswear. There are floral dresses, ruffles, and lots of black. In addition to clothing, there are also accessories including jewelry, hats, shoes, sunglasses… even lipstick. The line is in 200 H&M stores worldwide beginning November 23. Prepare to camp out. www.hm.com

“BURLESQUE” BEAUTIES
I love me some Cher and she’s back for her first film in seven years! Christina Aguilera co-stars in the movie as a small town girl who ends up in a burlesque club run by a former dancer (played by Cher). Opens Wednesday, November 24. The soundtrack for the film, featuring new songs by both ladies, drops on November 22.

LINGERIE LOVELIES
Heidi Klum may have retired her famous wings, but there are still plenty of gorgeous, sexy women who will be taking to the runway at the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Rosie Whiteley-Huntington. Katy Perry will perform on the show which takes place November 10 and airs November 30 on CBS.

RETRO STYLE
Don Draper isn’t the only reason we tune in to “Mad Men.” I love the retro chic fashions, of course, and now the show’s Costume Designer, Janie Bryant gives style advice and tips in her new book “The Fashion File.” $26.99 at www.amazon.com.

WOMEN OF THE YEAR
Glamour magazine celebrates 20 years of its prestigious Women of the Year Awards with a star-studded event Monday, November 8. Ten women will be honored and Fergie graces one of three separate covers of the December issue, which hits stands this week.

BLACK FRIDAY SALES
Many people dread heading out on the biggest shopping day of the year. But several retailers are starting Black Friday sales now to drum up more business. This takes the pressure off and makes getting a good deal easier for us shoppers! Happy shopping!
