Glam Slam: Night Of Serious Glamour

Kate Hudson sparkled in a shimmery one-shouldered champagne colored Lanvin at the 2010 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York last night. The beautiful gown featured an exposed side zipper and gathered ruffled detailing on the side. To complete the look, Kate went Old Hollywood with Veronica Lake waves and red lips. Kate was just one of many stars celebrating strong and successful women at the event, where she was presenting an award to her good friend Fergie.

“What do we do?” Kate said when we asked how she and Fergie chill. “We suntan,” she laughed! “We suntan and eat, we like to eat. We’re eaters. It is great, but her and I, we just, we laugh about that a lot cause we wanna eat everything we can get our hands on and sometimes we can’t do that.”

Honoree Fergie wowed in a long red Zac Posen one-shouldered gown with a high split that hugged her curves. Her husband Josh Duhamel, mom Terri and sister Dana were with her to see her honored and the ladies all got ready together.

“We did!” Fergie said. “We had a fitting together, we were getting sewn in, we did hair and makeup, complete girls night and you know, Josh is kind of coming in and out and he’s just laughing at us. You know, a good time, yeah.”

Cher worked her signature rocker chic look with a long stretch dress and leather motorcycle jacket accessorized with a pin spelling out “Rock” in diamonds. She was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

“I don’t think much of it,” she said in typical Cher fashion when we asked her about being a “legend and icon.” “I honestly, I just think that, I guess they give you something if you can hang around long enough, they give you something.”

“It’s so sweet that they asked me to come here and have all my best girlfriends come out for me tonight so I’m pretty excited,” Julia Roberts told us.

Julia wore her own black vintage jacket paired with leopard print heels. Janet Jackson also went with black, while Hilary Swank wore embellished pewter Atelier Versace to present an award to Donatella Versace.

“Yeah, it’s so great,” Hilary said of her couture gown. “My boyfriend, there was a tag in it and he said oh how much did it cost and I said it’s not in stores yet so there’s no price tag. It’s so cool. I mean what a fun little thing.”

Kelly Osbourne wore a sequined jacket and black mini skirt by British designer Matthew Williamson. “I got a bunch of stuff sent to me and then I was thinking it’s freezing, it’s New York and I want to wear something that keeps me warm and I love, I saw this is on the runway and said I have to have it. I love it so much so he sent it to me and I was like, perfect.”

Kelly is loving every minute of getting to dress for her new slimmer, healthier shape.

“I get to wear the stuff I’ve always dreamed of wearing cause I’m, I’m a realist. I’m not gonna walk around in a mini skirt and a midriff if I’ve got fat rolls hanging out of it, do you know what I mean,” she laughed! “So now, every day is like a new dress up day for me because I get to wear the stuff that I’ve always dreamed of wearing and getting my hair and makeup done and getting to come to stuff like this it’s, it’s so fun.”
