Glam Slam: Soggy Style At Cannes

An umbrella was the best accessory of all on the French Riviera as the 2013 Cannes Film Festival kicked off Opening Ceremonies with “The Great Gatsby”… and a major downpour.

The heavy rain and wet carpet didn’t damper the star style though. Leonardo DiCaprio, in Tom Ford, looked suave, of course and the ladies didn’t disappoint.

Cannes jury member Nicole Kidman was the ultimate in lady-like elegance in her Dior Haute Couture number.

She paired the delicate strapless floral gown with bright pumps and a smooth updo, which was probably a good idea in the wet weather. She looked like she was channeling Grace Kelly, whom she is playing in a new film.

Gatsby star Carey Mulligan looked 20’s chic in a gorgeous pale duchess satin Dior Haute Couture gown fitting for the occasion.

She finished the look with sleek straight hair, Tiffany earrings and bright red lips.

Cindy Crawford wore a super-sexy plunging white gown with embellished neckline by Roberto Cavalli.

The 47-year-old doesn’t’ seem to age a bit – her body is amazing and that gown showed it off to perfection.

And in a sea of white and light colors, Frieda Pinto made a bold impact in a bright, coral chiffon halter neck Gucci gown with jeweled belt and embellished shoes.

Gorgeous!
