Glam Slam: Stress-Free Holiday Style

Look how festive Katherine Jenkins looks!

No reason to panic over what to wear to all those events on your social calendar this month. People StyleWatch has taken the stress out of dressing for the season with loads of fun and easy ways to look amazing.

Burgundy Mani:
“Nice nails are always a conversation starter,” says Holly Cater, beauty director, People StyleWatch. “Treat yourself to a manicure for your holiday events and go with burgundy polish—it’s ultrachic and works with almost any outfit!”

Perfect LBD:
“Everyone needs a simple little black dress to get them through the holidays,” says Carter. “Whether it’s a work event or a cocktail party, you can transform your LBD by adding a few key accessories like gold or sparkle jewelry and bow pumps or sparkly stilettos to create more of a holiday feel.”

Photo-Ready Skin:
“Camera flashes can create harsh, unflattering light,” says Carter. “Try these tips to give you flawless, photo-ready skin.”
– Start with a Primer – Use a skin perfecting primer before applying your foundation to fill in pores and smooth out any fine lines.
– Try an HD Foundation – It contains light diffusing ingredients that will give skin a soft matte finish and diminish the look of blemishes.
– Tone Down Shine – Dust a loose setting powder over your forehead, nose and chin to keep shine at bay.

Party Bag:
“A great purse can complete any outfit,” says Carter. “Try a wristlet or envelope clutch bag if you’ll be meeting new people or holding food and drinks. If you need more room to stash things like a camera, opt for a crossbody bag with a thin, long strap.”

Look Great After A Late Night:
“After a night of reveling, this is what you’ll need to do BEFORE bed,” says Carter. “Apply a vitamin-rich eye cream to help minimize under-eye bags and dark circles. Or try a cooling gel mask while you unwind to rehydrate your parched skin. This will have you looking refreshed by morning.”
