Glam Slam: The 21012 Vanity Fair Best Dressed List

Today, Vanity Fair unveiled its annual Best Dressed List — aka the 73rd International Best Dressed Poll, which is a quite prestigious list. As is usual, I cannot even pronounce a few of the names!

That’s OK… there are plenty of stylish folks I do know: Alicia Keys, Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger and Stella McCartney.

For the guys, there’s Tom Brady, Jay-Z, Victor Cruz, Colin Firth, Matt Lauer and Morley Safer!

An eclectic group… with eclectic tastes. Tom Brady, who makes his debut on the coveted list, reveals that his favorite item of clothing is his “football uniform.”

Alicia Keys says her style icon is “Bianca Jagger — she’s classy and tough.” While Matt Lauer names “any member of the original Rat Pack” as his style icon.

A few international royals are included as well. Prince Harry makes the list for the first time, thanks to some bright blue suede shoes he wore while visiting Jamaica.

And then there’s Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge lands on the list for the third time. No wonder! She wears a who’s who of British designers, including Alexander McQueen, Alice Temperley and Matthew Williamson. Her father-in-law, Prince Charles, spent an estimated $55,000 on clothes for her the first half of the year. But she’s no fashion snob, as we all know, recycling outfits and shopping at stores like Britain’s version of T.J. Maxx.

Kate doesn’t use a royal dresser, instead preferring to shop herself. Further proof that she has great taste, and style, in spades. Well done!
