How cute are these boots? This is my daughter wearing the Missoni for Target rain boots I got her. I, like many, many, many people was going crazy trying to buy the stuff when the site crashed. You might recall from my previous blog, about the debut of the Missoni collection, that my husband stayed up all night trying to help me order online and then we both hit the stores only to find mostly empty shelves. I now owe him a racing weekend, but what can I say? The guy went beyond the call of duty!
I was finally able to get through and order a few things, which have been trickling in. The first to arrive were these boots and my daughter absolutely LOVES them. Even though it doesn’t really rain here- she’s already been wearing them every day.
Sometimes when you order online and don’t get to see the product first, you don’t know what the quality will be like. We’ve all been there, right? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the Missoni line.
The metallic “Spacedye” shell and matching cardigan I ordered for myself have come in and they are quite nice. Sometimes rayon and polyester can be scratchy, but this fabric doesn’t look or feel cheap. The silk print scarf I got looks far more expensive than the $19.99 it cost! All of the clothing we got for our daughter is beyond adorable and will hold up well at preschool- the ultimate test!
The only bummer is that while trying to order on that crazy day when the site crashed, I ordered the wrong sweater, so I didn’t get the one thing that I really wanted for myself. Oh well, there’s always eBay.
All in all, I thought this was probably the best designer collaboration Target has done and that’s from someone who has bought from pretty much every collection.
