Glam Slam: The Friday Five – Grammys Edition!

The Grammys are definitely the place where stars aren’t afraid to take chances on the red carpet. That leads to fashion that’s sometimes good, sometimes bad but always memorable! In honor of the Grammys this Sunday, here are my picks for the top five most buzz worthy Grammy looks.

1) In 2000, Jennifer Lopez made the entrance of all entrances in a cut down to there Versace dress. Actually it looked more like a strategically placed scarf! That dress has been talked about probably more than any other in Grammy history. And it sealed J.Lo as a fashion force to be reckoned with.

2) Just one year later, Toni Braxton picked up where J.Lo left off, also daring to bare. The Best Female R&B Vocal Performance Winner showed off her super long legs with a super high slit. The white slinky Richard Tyler number left little to the imagination… but Toni pulled it off!

3) In 2000, Britney Spears channeled Marilyn Monroe in a gown that was less rock and roll more old Hollywood glamour. 18-years-old at the time, she looked mature beyond her years in an unforgettable clingy white Randolph Duke halter dress and white mink Oscar de la Renta stole.

4) Of course, Madonna must make any unforgettable fashion list! She has more style incarnations than we can count… and who can forget the Geisha Girl getups of the late 90’s? In 1999, she opened the Grammys in a flame red kimono and capped off the Asian inspired ensemble with sleek dark hair.

5) At the 2005 Grammys, Gwen Stefani strutted down the carpet in an ultra feminine lacy black ensemble by Viktor & Rolf. But it was her unusual accessories that really caught attention… she was accompanied by a posse of Harajuku Girls! If you’ve got it, work it!
