From Mother’s Day this weekend to Memorial Day at the end of the month, May is packed with wall-to-wall action.

SUMMER MOVIES KICK OFF
Yay! Loads of huge movies this Summer starting this month. Captain Jack Sparrow is back for the 4th installment of the $2.7 billion Pirates franchise. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” opens May 20. No rest for the weary though, the following weekend, it’s a one-two punch with “The Hangover Part II” and “Kung Fu Panda 2” opening.
LOTS OF THE “LADY”
Amazing and unprecedented backstage access with Lady Gaga in the HBO documentary “Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden,” which debuts this Saturday May 7. Lady Gaga’s third CD “Born This Way” drops on May 23.
FRENCH RIVIERA GLAMOUR
The 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival promises to up the glamour quotient once again with stars Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and even Mel Gibson expected to attend. May 11-22.
BUDGET BEACH CHIC
