Glam Slam: The Friday Five! (Oct. 17, 2008)

Here’s what has us talking this week!

1. THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT!
Only one week until “HSM 3” opens and last night Zac, Vanessa and the gang hit the red carpet for their big premiere. Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white Calvin Klein mini with Jimmy Choo heels and the perfect accessory – beau Zac in a black John Varvatos tux. Ashley Tisdale was all about old Hollywood glamour in a silk chiffon ivory Reem Acra gown and showed off her new brunette locks.

2. HEAVENLY BAGS
Drew Barrymore has been photographed on at least three different occasions with her brown crescent shaped Moon River bag from the Jack Rabbit Collection. The boho vibe of the soft and slouchy Italian leather bag is pure Drew. Drew’s “Charlie’s Angels” co-stars are also in on the act. Cameron Diaz has three bags from the line and Lucy Liu is a huge fan as well. The Jack Rabbit Collection is available at www.shopbop.com and Drew’s Moon River bag will be available at Neiman Marcus in November.

3. GET GOOD SKIN
I’ve always admired, OK, so maybe I was a little jealous too, of Cate Blanchett’s perfect porcelain skin. No wonder luxury Japanese skin care line SK II made her its global ambassador. She’s living proof that the line works. I’m obsessed!

4. “THE HILLS” ARE ALIVE!
Lost scenes from one of our favorite guilty pleasures. PLUS! A “Hills” marathon! Not sure we can stand all the drama at once! Starts Monday at 1pm on MTV.

5. FEEL GOOD FASHION!
Design-Her-Gals, the adorable website where you can personalize stationary with a virtual likeness of yourself, has joined the fight against breast cancer.

The site has launched its 2nd annual “virtual” walk to benefit the Gal to Gal Foundation, which raises money and awareness for Stage IV cancer patients and their families. Check out the virtual versions of Gal to Gal ambassadors Marg Helgenberger, Lisa Rinna, Molly Sims and Larry King. The goal is to raise $250,000 during the month of October. For more information go to www.galtogalwalk.org or www.designhergals.com.
