Glam Slam: The Oscars Are (Almost) Here!

Everyone is getting ready for Hollywood’s biggest night. The designers, jewelers, trainers, makeup artists, nutritionists, hairstylists, clothing stylists, facialists, dermatologists and plastic surgeons have been working overtime to get everyone in tip-top, camera-ready shape. Oscar even paid us a visit on the set of Access Hollywood Live this morning!

In honor of this weekend’s Academy Awards, I look back at some of the best Oscar gowns.

GWYNETH PALTROW
Loved the sleek, chic look of her white-hot Tom Ford ensemble complete with cape. The clean, modern lines, paired with simple makeup and slicked back pony tail, are classic and timeless.

HALLE BERRY
The star took home the Best Actress Academy Award in this Elie Saab sheer stunner in 2002. The gorgeous color and the strategic floral embroidery made the gown unique and showed off Halle’s creamy skin and amazing figure..

JENNIFER LOPEZ
Jennifer’s wowed us many, many, times on the red carpet, but I love this too-sheer-for TV Chanel Haute Couture gown she wore back in 2001. The one-shouldered gown is simple and elegant and she finished the look in typical lavish JLO style with fake eyelashes made of real mink fur.

PENELOPE CRUZ
Now this is what you call a GOWN. Talk about an entrance maker! Dramatic. Elaborate. Breathtaking. The blush colored silk chiffon, strapless Atelier Versace gown the actress wore in 2007 is totally striking and unforgettable.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS
Best bright color! Michelle’s yellow Vera Wang gown really popped on the red carpet in 2006 and ended up becoming one of the most popular colors in Hollywood. The gown is soft, feminine and ultra-flattering thanks to the low neckline and gathered detailing at the hips. Her red lips are the perfect complement to the gown.
