What’s Hot In…
DENIM
There are so many trends that have a lot of staying power in denim. In terms of the wash, pick a pair that are really bleached out – those are about as trendy as it gets. Other styles that are still hot include acid wash, faded color washes and those that are lightly distressed. Look for a skinny-jean silhouette or boyfriend jeans, which continue to dominate denim styles.
What’s NOT Hot In Denim…
Avoid going overboard when it comes to denim. Steer clear of saturated neon jeans, super-shredded or excessively distressed styles.
SHOES
Clog sandals are really the “it” shoe this season. The trendy platform and sexy high-heel exude a cool, boho vibe thanks to the earthy leather and wooden soles. Other kicks you should continue to sport include edgy cutout booties, chic sky-high stilettos, hipster menswear oxfords and sexy cage heels.
In terms of colors, metallic shoes get a bit of an upgrade with the addition of rose gold. A popular shade for jewelry, this subtle, warm blush hue also acts as a flattering neutral against clothes.
STATEMENT JEWELRY
This season it’s all about bold bangles and chunky cuffs. From modern (and very right now) Lucite, to rich gold, to edgy textured combos, there’s nothing hotter than some arm candy. Don’t put away those statement necklaces either – those notice-me accessories are still going strong!
What’s NOT Hot…
While they definitely had their fashion moment, it’s time for long vests, super-spiked accessories and neon jeans to go into hiding in your closet. Put those in storage for now!
