‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison Teams Up With JC Chasez For Music Debut; Mark Salling Releases Album Cover

With his curly hair and wide smile, “Glee’s” Matthew Morrison bears a strong resemblance to Justin Timberlake – and now he’s got something else in common with the star – working with former *NSYNC member JC Chasez.

“I just did this great song last week with JC Chasez that was very, very cool. It turned out really well,” Matthew told MTV News at the “Glee” premiere party in Los Angeles earlier this week. “He’s such a good songwriter.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if JC was singing on the album or just using his songwriting skills, but Matthew said there are a number of collaborations on the record.

“It’s very eclectic. I’m doing some great duets,” Matthew said. “I can’t release who they’re with yet… But, some people that you’ve probably heard of before – that you’ve definitely heard of before.”

Matthew, who plays Mr. (Will) Schuester on the hit FOX show, said the album will be a mix of “adult contemporary and there’s gonna be some pop songs that you can shake your money maker to in the club.”

He added that he co-wrote many of the tracks on the album with “some great songwriters.”

No details were immediately available on when the album might be released, although one report says the singer is aiming for February 2011.

In related “Glee” news, Mark Salling, who plays McKinley High School student Puck, revealed the cover art for his debut album, “Pipe Dreams,” which features 11 cuts. Amongst the tracks on the album are “Lone Ranger,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Descent (Confessions of a Ghost),” “Musical Soulmate” and “Doppleganger.”

“I hope people have a good time,” Mark said of his plans for his music, in a promotional clip. “I hope they feel something they haven’t felt before.”

Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on “Glee,” is also working on a debut LP, with Warner Bros. Records.
