As usual, the Golden Globes were a blast….the fellas handsome (Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Bradley Cooper — I’m talking about you!), the ladies stunning, and the fashion fabulous.
It was also FUN!!!!!
I watched Zooey Deschanel and “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery chat on the carpet and Jimmy Fallon tell Julie Delphy that he loved “Before Midnight.” I was this close to my all-time music faves, U2’s Bono and The Edge and I helped Sofia Vergara down the steps.
As for the style, here are my five picks for Best Dressed:
JENNIFER LAWRENCE:
Right on trend with her strapless white silk Dior Haute Couture gown with black detailing. The Golden Globes winner is the epitome of youthful elegance.
LUPITA NYONG’O:
Sleek, chic and all clean lines… love, love, love this red hot number by Ralph Lauren. The strapless cape dress reminds of the white Tom Ford cape dress Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the Oscars. Simply gorgeous.
REESE WITHERSPOON:
Best color! The aqua of this Calvin Klein gown perfectly plays up Reese’s pretty blue eyes and flatters her fit figure. Simple and stunning.
MARGOT ROBBIE:
Wow. VA VA Voom! Talk about a sexy gown! “The Wolf of Wall Street” star’s white Gucci gown features rhinestone embellishment and a deep plunge that had plenty of jaws dropping. Total knockout.
CATE BLANCHETT:
When Cate came backstage into our winners one-on-one room, I got a chance to see just how absolutely beautiful her Armani Couture gown is in person. The black lace is so delicate, the workmanship exquisite…just breathtaking. I don’t think photos do it justice.
