Goldie Hawn Wishes Daughter Kate Hudson A Happy Birthday With Sweet Throwback Pic

Goldie Hawn is
one proud mama! The Hollywood icon wished her daughter Kate Hudson a happy
birthday on Tuesday with a sweet throwback photo of the “Mother’s
Day” star in her toddler days.

“Happy birthday my only girl! Thank you for coming though me to become YOU! A shining light full of joy. I love you,” Goldie captioned the snap, which shows a tiny Kate sporting blonde ringlets and a sweet flowered top.

Goldie continued her social media celebration on Twitter, posting more kind words about the now-37-year-old A-lister.

“Happy
birthday my Kate!” she wrote, including four heart emojis in the post.
“It was a blessed day when you were born.”

The love is
clearly mutual, as Kate told Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez recently why Goldie
continues to inspire her — as more than just a mom.

“She’s
funny, and she’s sexy – still! She’s 70 and she’s still sexy,” Kate said
of the Oscar winner. “She’s just a special person.”

The actress
revealed why it’s hard to pinpoint what makes Goldie such a standout. According
to Kate, there are too many great qualities to choose from!

“How do
you boil Goldie Hawn down to one thing? She’s a tough mom, she’s a working mom,
she’s a trailblazing mom,” she told Liz. “You know, I have quite a
fierce mother even though she’s got this very…lightness to her. She’s a tough
cookie. She’s a very intriguing, iconic person.”

When asked
if she has a favorite Mother’s Day memory of her own, Kate shared the special
moment when she realized that she had not only inherited Goldie’s trademark
sense of humor, but also passed it along.

“Ryder
got me this mug that said ‘World’s OK-est Mom,'” Kate recalled of her
oldest son. “I remember looking at it … and I just started to laugh, and
he started to laugh, and we laughed so hard together that it was just one of
those moments where it was like, ‘Yes, he’s funny! I’m so happy.'”

“Mother’s
Day” hits theaters on April 29.
