‘Gone Girl’: Emily Ratajkowski On How She Landed The Role

Emily Ratajkowski hit the casting jackpot when she landed her first major film role.

The 23-year-old told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson that the auditioning process was shockingly sudden.

“It actually happened very quickly. I got a call the next day, ‘We’d love to see you, David [Fincher] wants to meet you,’ so I flew out and got to the room, and there’s David, there’s the casting director and there’s this scruffy guy and I’m like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you,’ and then I’m like oh that’s Ben Affleck!” she told Shaun at the “Gone Girl” junket.

“We just talked about the movie and the ideas from the book… two hours later they called me,” she added.

Emily, known for dancing with Robin Thicke in his “Blurred Lines” video, said she couldn’t tell many people about her exciting casting news, but revealed who she first told.

“I was in my car when I found out and I just screamed!” she said. “And then I called my parents.”

“Gone Girl” is in theaters now.
