‘Gossip Girl’ Star Talks Joining ‘Melrose Place’ Remake

Now that the CW is considering bringing a new version of “Melrose Place” to television, fans are speculating if any original cast members might end up spending some more time in the Spanish-style apartment complex with the pool and heaps of TV drama.

Could Heather Locklear reprise her role of Amanda Woodward? Would Marcia Cross and Doug Savant leave Wisteria Lane for some time in the “90210” adjacent zip code? With “Swingtown” in TV limbo, original cast member Grant Show could show up on his motorcycle and requisite leather jacket — but so far, it’s “Gossip Girl’s” Kelly Rutherford, who played Dr. Michael Mancini’s wife, Megan, who’s been the first to talk about the possibility of returning… for the right price.

“If they offered me a lot of money!” Kelly joked with Us Weekly Wednesday at the FURLA Talent Hub party in NYC when asked about the possibility that she might show up in the remake. “I don’t know, maybe, as a guest spot.”

Kelly told the mag that her return would be contingent on what type of show the remake might be.

“It would really depend, I think, on the script and how they would want me to come back,” she said

For the time being, Kelly said she is happy spending time on NYC’s Upper East Side playing Lily van der Woodsen.

“I’m on Gossip Girl, which seems to be going well,” the actress added.
