Gossip Of The Week: 5 Stars In Trouble

What do a TV judge, an Olympian and a former Disney star have in common?

Unfortunately this week, they make our list of unlucky celebs that ended up on the wrong side of the law in our Hollywood gossip roundup!

So, if you were too overwhelmed with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s separation or Kim and Kanye’s Vogue debut, here is the what-you-need-to-know on 5 news items you may have missed…

Zac Efron
Zac Efron reportedly found himself in a dangerous part of Downtown LA at approximately 2:25 AM on Sunday, March 23, and ended up getting involved in an altercation with two transients. According to TMZ and the Los Angeles Times, the “High School Musical” star told authorities he had run out of gas and was sitting in the car waiting for a tow truck near Skid Row when it happened.

Authorities said there were no arrests made but there are online rumors that Efron got punched in the face. No official comment yet from the 26-year-old’s camp.

Perhaps the biggest mystery of all — what was Efron doing in such a sketchy neighborhood in the first place?

Columbus Short
It seems, not even “Scandal” leading man Columbus Short is safe from fights. Short was arrested on a felony charge based on allegations that he seriously injured a man during a dispute at a West L.A. restaurant earlier this month.

Claremont Police tell Access Hollywood that Short turned himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant related to the blow up and was released on $50,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to four years in state prison. Yikes.

For all the fans out there, Short is due back in court on May 13, that is, if you’re interested in attending.

Judge Joe Brown
Justice is also being served to Judge Joe Brown. It looks like the reality TV personality got a taste of his own medicine when he was cuffed on Monday, after he allegedly yelled at a juvenile court magistrate in a Tennessee courtroom. Brown was sentenced to five days in jail and was released on his own recognizance.

Speaking to ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, the now-retired Brown, who is running for District Attorney of Shelby County, said he would do it again.

The audio to Brown’s outburst has since gone viral. Way to return to the spotlight.

Lil Za/Justin Bieber
An arraignment date has been set for Justin Bieber’s cohort, Lil Za. You may remember that the rapper was arrested following a raid of the singer’s Calabasas home for an alleged egg throwing incident, involving a neighbor.

Prosecutors with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office agreed to reduce a felony count of destroying jail property to a misdemeanor. Lil Za still faces a charge for possessing a controlled substance, allegedly ecstasy. A spokeswoman with the LA DA maintains they have not decided whether or not they will charge Bieber.

Meanwhile, a security guard for the Biebs was indicted Tuesday on two felony charges after he admitted taking a camera from a photographer in suburban Atlanta. Hugo Hesny faces charges of robbery and entering a vehicle. He is currently free on bond.

Johnny Weir
And finally… if somehow you haven’t already heard, figure skater Johnny Weir is divorcing his husband of two years, Victor Voronov. The two men took their breakup to the next level on Wednesday when both parties sent their lawyers to court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

According to the 300 pages worth of court documents, the couple is battling various items, including more than 55 luxury handbags, 20 furs, and who gets custody of their dog Tema.

One text message referenced in their exhibits is written between Voronov and his cousin, and discusses relationship topics like boogers and among other things, who the clingy one really is in the marriage.

Pass the tissues, fellas!
