Grammy Nominees Blige, Furtado Hit Primetime

They may be known for their singing voices, but next month three Grammy notables will hit primetime for another talent: acting.

Current Grammy nominees Mary J. Blige and Nelly Furtado and eight time winner Natalie Cole will appear across a host of television dramas in the run up to the big event.

Up for eight statues at this year?s ceremony, including the prestigious Record of the Year, Blige will face competition of an other-worldly kind when she joins Jennifer Love Hewitt on CBS? ?Ghost Whisperer? February 9. Blige will play Jackie Boyd, a high school cheerleading coach whose current pupils are facing the wrath of one unhappy pom-pom girl’s earth bound spirit.

As for Furtado, she?ll go from ?Promiscuous Girl? to murder suspect on ?CSI New York? February 7. Furtado?s character, the chameleon-like Ava Brandt will put Stella (Melina Kanakaredes) through her paces, testing her investigation skills to the max.

Finally, Natalie Cole will join NBC?s ?Studio 60? on February 5 playing herself. Cole will perform a new version of the Burt Bacharach and Hal David classic ?Say A Little Prayer? at a dinner for Sarah Paulson?s character Harriet.

Cole?s version of the cut will be available for download at SaveMyLife.org, benefiting AIDS relief in Africa.
